The Map action can be used to display a map or driving directions from the user's current location.  When possible it uses the device's built-in map application to display the route, in order to ensure the smoothest opration and real-time update's of the user's current position during their journey.

Configuring the Map Action

Location

You can describe the location you want mapped in one of 3 ways

  1. Use a street address
Be as specific as possible, including the city and country to ensure an accurate match.
e.g. 100 Dominion Road, Auckland, NZ
  2. Use a public landmark name
    e.g. Sky Tower, Auckland, NZ
  3. Use a precise latitude and longitude
Enter only numeric coordinates without N, S, E, W indicators.  Separate with a comma and no spaces.
    e.g. -36.848461,174.762183

Always test your address by searching it at Google Maps, to verify that it brings up the correct position.

Map Mode

SnapTag current offers two map modes-

  1. Display location
Displays the requested location on a map.
  2. Display driving directions
Displays driving directions to the specified location. When scanned with a mobile device, the origin of the path is automatically set to the phone's current location.
