Web Action

SnapTag's Web Action displays the requested website in the phone's selected browser.

Best Practices

When choosing a website to point to, remember that nearly all scans are likely to come from a mobile phone device. To get the best user experience, follow these guidelines;

  • Display a mobile website, designed for mobile browsers.
  • Keep content light, and focused.
  • Avoid large images, fonts, or downloads.
  • Avoid Flash, as it cannot be displayed by iPhones.

Technical Notes

Depending on the phone's capabilities, the Web Action can also be used for non-http protocols.
